Born into a farming family in a small village in Tamil Nadu, Jay grew up
surrounded by fields, the rhythm of rural life, and the humbling simplicity of a
home without electricity or running water. Each morning, he walked miles to the
nearest school, driven by a singular promise – education - as his guide through
adversity. With unwavering determination to learn, he pursued his studies with
passion, a remarkable achievement that reflected resilience and perseverance
against all odds. Yet his journey was only beginning.
Years later, as he reflected on the blessings he had earned, Jay knew that they were
meant to be shared—especially with the community that raised him. This
realization led to the creation of the Jayes Foundation, a testament to his enduring
commitment to support those who walked similar paths of hardship and resilience.
In rural India, ownership of farmland is limited to descendants of traditional
farmers making it a valued status symbol.
Jay and his wife Suriya have maintained an abiding love for their homeland and a
deep dedication to supporting their community in honor of their parents. Their
affection for this place has inspired the mission focus on empowering women and
uplifting the under privileged. The foundation works to provide preventive
healthcare, boost agricultural productivity, and open doors to education and self-
employment opportunities in rural communities. Their mission is not only to
improve the lives but also to instill in future generations a legacy of compassion,
resilience, and generosity – values that they hope will be carried forward by their
children and grandchildren .
