Nisha Shankar

Nisha Shankar is a Medical Assistant working for a primary care private practice. She was born and raised in the Bay Area and has a strong passion for healthcare. She is the Health Services Coordinator for JAYES Foundation. She helped co-found the healthcare services pillar of the foundation and organize free health camps for the underserved population of the Krishnagiri rural community in India. Working with local healthcare providers, she helps offer free medical consultation, medicines, health checks of vitals, and referrals to other specialists. JAYES Foundation is important to her because of her passion for providing quality and competent healthcare to underserved communities and increasing access to healthcare resources for different populations. In her free time, she enjoys roller skating, playing the piano, and spending time with family and friends.
