Dr. Kavitha Jayachandran

Dr. Kavitha Jayachandran (Jay) was born in Bangalore, India. She moved to US to pursue her medical education and residency training and has since been practicing as an Internist at Kaiser Permanente, California. She is dedicated to educating students, peers, as well as the community as she strongly believes that education is cornerstone for behavioral change. Over the years volunteering in free medical camps in Nicaragua, India, and US, she is deeply committed to positively impacting the needs of the underserved and underrepresented communities. She has a strong interest in community service and feels energized when serving those in need.  As a Board Member of the JAYES Foundation, she strives to expand the foundation’s healthcare initiatives with a dream to address disparities in healthcare . She is passionate about the mission of the Foundation as it aligns with her commitment to advancing equitable health outcomes for all. Fun fact: In high school she was part of a band and played the bugle instrument.
